Services through Neurodiscovery are conducted by an autism-assessment-trained Speech Pathologist. The "Confirm" and "Confirm Extra" packages include a formal assessment process and a clinical opinion on whether an individual appears to meet the DSM-5 criteria for autism. While this can offer valuable insight and confidence in one’s self-understanding, it does not in itself constitute a diagnosis for medical or funding purposes. Only the Confirm Extra report may be eligible to be used in NDIS applications, and it must be accompanied by a report from a Psychiatrist or Clinical Psychologist in order to be recognised as an official diagnosis as part of a multidisciplinary process. *

Many clients choose this service because it offers a neuroaffirming, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to autism assessment. It is particularly supportive for individuals whose autistic experiences may be more internalised, masked, or non-stereotypical. For those who have spent years wondering, camouflaging, or feeling misunderstood, this process can offer confidence in their self-understanding and a sense of recognition that may not have been available through more traditional pathways.
