Autism identification for women and AFAB individuals
Think you might be autistic?
Want to confirm it with an assessor?
Or want to be guided by an assessor in a self-identification program?
Unfortunately, the knowledge of autism assessors doesn’t always keep up.
Non-stereotypical, internalised and high-masking experiences can lead to misidentification and leave you feeling confused and unseen.
Outdated perspectives of assessors can leave you feeling like there is ‘something wrong with you’, instead of introducing you to neurodiversity and helping you understand how you can best be supported and look after yourself.
Neurodiscovery is an autistic owned and led neurodiversity affirming telehealth service. We’re here to help you understand yourself, celebrate who you are, while being real about the challenges of being autistic in a world that isn’t designed for us - yet.
Our sister company, While You Wonder, is focussed on providing webinars, programs, and resources for those who are looking to self-identify as autistic or prepare for formal assessment.
Our understanding of the autistic experience has come a long way.
Autistic identification done different.
Autism assessments are due for an overhaul.
That’s why Neurodiscovery provides innovative options for helping you on your journey to learning whether you’re autistic.
Our sister company, While You Wonder, will be launching a 5 week self-identification program, led by our autistic autism assessor. To sign up to be updated when this goes live, visit this page to get on to the waitlist.
Identification Packages
$220
Not ready for an assessment or don’t want one but want to chat with an autism assessor? Explore sessions are one-hour appointments with an autism-assessment-trained Speech Pathologist, designed for those curious about whether their qualities and experiences align with the autistic neurotype. This informal consultation provides a safe space to ask questions, receive real-time feedback, and gain guidance on your journey of self-discovery, helping you explore your identity with confidence.
Who is it for?
This package is for those exploring the possibility of being autistic or seeking validation of their self-identification. It can also help prepare you for formal assessment if desired. Once off, or multiple if desired.

$920
A comprehensive, interview-based assessment with a Speech Pathologist to explore and confirm whether your qualities and experiences align with the autistic neurotype. This package provides a detailed exploration with real-time feedback and insights, helping you make sense of your journey. Following the assessment, you will receive a concise one-page confirmation letter.
Who is it for?
This package is ideal for those ready to confirm their autistic identity through a formal assessment. It’s perfect for individuals who "just want to know" and seek validation without the need for a lengthy report. It’s well-suited to those looking for a relaxed and affirming assessment experience with an autistic assessor who fosters a safe space through shared experience.
*Please see note below re: diagnosis for medical or funding purposes.
$1620
For those seeking detailed documentation, this package includes the interview-based autism assessment provided in the Confirm package with the addition of a comprehensive report. The report offers a nuanced analysis of how your experiences align with DSM-5 criteria, providing a more expansive opportunity to reflect on your autistic identity following assessment.
Who is it for?
This package is ideal for those who want more detailed written content to reflect on or provide to other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary diagnosis. Talk to us about collaboration with other health professionals you may choose to be involved in your assessment.
*Please see note below re: diagnosis for medical or funding purposes.
Please note:
Neurodiscovery services are delivered by an autism-assessment-trained Speech Pathologist. Assessments are for autism only (not ADHD or other intersectionalities). The Confirm and Confirm Extra packages involve a formal assessment process and clinical opinion on whether an individual appears to meet the DSM-5 criteria for autism. While this can provide valuable clarity and support self-understanding, it does not in itself constitute a diagnosis for medical or funding purposes without additional input from a psychiatrist or clinical psychologist.

- International Support -
Are you outside of Australia and looking for an autism assessment or identification support?
Unfortunately, insurance and registration requirements prevent Australian speech pathologists from providing formal assessments internationally.
However, I understand that finding answers is important. That’s why, I am currently also working on my other passion project, While You Wonder, to develop a self-identification program designed to support individuals exploring their
autistic identity.
Submit your details here to be notified when the program launches.
